October 8, 2024 — The THAI English Language Program for Pre-service Teachers concluded its final session this Tuesday, October 8, marking the end of a week-long series designed to enhance English language skills among aspiring educators. The program, which began on October 2, featured five interactive two-hour online sessions held on October 3, 4, and 7, culminating in tonight’s event.

A total of 66 Thai education students from Phranakhon Rajabhat University, majoring in Teaching English as a Second Language, participated alongside English majors from various campuses (assigned in different session days per campus) of ISUFST. This collaboration fostered meaningful discussions and collaborative learning, showcasing a diverse range of perspectives and expertise.

Last Tuesday night’s concluding session was hosted by the Main Campus team, who, through Prof. Joemel Guintivano and other English professors, guided participants through a reflective discussion on writing a speech, different cultural symbols, and on their experiences over the past week. The program aimed not only to improve English proficiency but also to build a supportive community among future educators across countries.

As the participants embark on their teaching careers, the skills and connections developed during this program are expected to significantly impact their professional journeys. (Photos by Edmer Bernardo and Herman Lagon/Text by Lagon/PAMMCO)
