CITY OF MALOLOS–Three Communist Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army (CPP-NPA) members who mascarade as Kalipunan ng Damayang Mahihirap (Kadamay) are now pro government after they took their oath of allegiance on Sunday in this city.

Capt. Rommel Jordan, civil military operations head of 70th Infantry Battalion (IB) of Philippine Army said Ronald Parola alias “Ka Nald, Mark Bonnie Escalera alias “Ka Bon” and Lolita de Jesus, alias Ka Lolit each received P65,000 worth of livelihood support fund after they swore their allegiance to the government through a simple ceremony before Vice Gov. Alex Castro, 70th IB Commander

Ltc Ronnel Dela Cruz, Bulacan police director Col. Charlie Cabradilla and Bulacan Provincial Government heads at the Official Residence of Gov. Daniel Fernando. 

Department of Interior and Local Go­vernment (DILG) Bulacan Provincial Director Myrvi Apostol-Fabia handed down the P65,000 check to each of them.

Provincial Administrator Anne Constantino and Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) Head Rowena Tiongson also distributed food packs to each of them. Fernando has earlier provided them with P15,000 each worth of financial assistance.  

According to Dela Cruz, the former rebels were encouraged to return to the fold of the law under the intensified Executive Order No. 70 or the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC).
