MANILA–For the 3rd year, the Taiwan-Philippines Educational Development Foundation (TPEDF) Scholarship Program has successfully sent-off a new batch of Filipino students who were recently awarded scholarships to Taiwan.
With TPEDF’s generosity, about one thousand students enjoyed free plane fare with baggage allowance to start their academic journey at various institutions around the island. These youth will stay in Taiwan for the Study Program under the Taiwan government’s Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC) and Taipei Economic Cultural Office (TECO) Philippines.
Throughout the program, students are provided with comprehensive training programs that allow them to apply their technical knowledge while acquiring new skills— an essential activity that equips students when they formally join the workforce.
In partnership with the OCAC and TECO, the Taiwan Philippines Educational Development Foundation remains active in promoting education as means of uplifting lives and improving a nation’s economy. It is headed by Mr. Lin Chai-Liang as Chief Operating Officer and Su Kuo-Fang as Chairman who believes in steering the society for the better by starting with education. They are joined by Ms. Huang Ya-Hui, Mr. Wu Kuo-Chen, Mr. Hsieh I-Ho, Mr. Huang De Fu, and Mr. Lu Chia-Hsiang.
Now that another school year has started, TPEDF looks forward to repeating the process of helping promote Taiwan’s Study Program, screen applicants and send off students to a promising new start.
