
CITY OF MALOLOS—The Damayang Filipino (DF) Movement Inc. , a people support organization providing medical, health and social benefits to the Bulakenyos including other indigent groups and individuals outside the province, now extends its beneficiaries to the rest of the country.
Now a party-list, the DF Movement Inc. with its first nominee—Atenie Bautista, second and third nominees respectively–Arch. Noel Fernando and Atty. Nestor Fortunato Siazon filed on Monday their group’s certificate of candidacy for the May 2025 election.
The Danayang Filipino has already provided medical, dental, social support needs including educational scholarships for 3 million residents out of the 3,000 medical missions they continue to launch in Bulacan and in other towns and cities outside of the province. Other than medicine and health services, the Damayan Filipino also provides health assistive devices to the people including wedding, baotismal, burial and different types of financial assistance.
Bautista said they have served the now 572 villages in the 20 towns and 4 cities in Bulacan repeatedly for a number of occasions. The Damayang Filipino medical mission regularly goes down to the different barangays providing the said health and social responses to the people. The program also includes anti-rabies injection, hair cut, etc, other than dental, medical and ophthalmology medical services and medicine supplies.
According to Baustita, a seat in Congress will bring their medical missions and other social health needs of the people to the rest of the country.
Bautista and Fernando are younger siblings of Bulacan Gov. Daniel Fernando while Siazon is the governor’s nephew.
Bautista is the Medical Division chief of the Bulacan Provincial Government.
The governor established the Damayang Filipino in 2008, a year after he lost in the vice gubernatorial race in 2007.
