Manila, Philippines – The Electric Vehicle Association of the Philippines (EVAP) celebrates the continued momentum of the local electric vehicle (EV) industry, following the resounding success of the 12th Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit (PEVS) held last October. With EV sales in the country reaching new heights, EVAP remains committed to fostering the adoption of sustainable mobility solutions and strengthening industry collaboration.

According to recent data, the Philippine EV market has seen a surge in sales, driven by increasing consumer interest, improved charging infrastructure, and supportive government policies. The success of PEVS 2024 played a crucial role in sustaining this momentum, providing a platform for industry stakeholders to showcase innovations, address key challenges, and push for policy reforms.

“The growth we are witnessing today is a testament to the collective efforts of the government, industry players, and advocates who believe in the future of electric mobility,” said Edmund Araga, President of EVAP“The 12th Philippine EV Summit was not just an event—it was a movement that sparked real change and reinforced our commitment to accelerating EV adoption in the country.”

The summit, themed “Spark Change, Drive Electric,” attracted key local and international players, featuring new EV model launches, policy discussions, and interactive activities that engaged the public. The event also fostered collaboration with global EV associations, highlighting the Philippines’ role in the growing ASEAN EV market.

Looking ahead, EVAP is set to build on this success with initiatives that will further drive EV adoption, including expanded public awareness campaigns, stronger partnerships with the government, and continued advocacy for policies that make EVs more accessible to Filipino consumers.

“We are at a turning point where EVs are no longer just an alternative—they are the future,” Araga added. “EVAP will continue to push for innovations, investments, and policies that will make sustainable mobility a reality for all.”

With the industry’s rapid growth, EVAP remains steadfast in its mission to electrify the future, ensuring that the Philippines remains on track toward a greener, more sustainable transport sector.
