CITY OF MALOLOS—In his early 30’s, an actor from this city who earned an acting degree in Los Angeles Performing Arts Conservatory now stars in a movie entry to the 50th Annual Boston Sci-Fi Film Festival.

The foreign movie “Love Eternal” features Martin Sayo, Malolos’ very own son. Sayo also earned a diploma in film and stage acting. Boston Sci-Fi Film Festival runs February 12-15, 2025.

The film festival is considered among the most highly regarded Genre Film Festivals in the world.

Boston SciFi is a cinematic event held every year in February. SF50 in 2025 will be a hybrid event, live and virtual. In the said event, the organizer said it will run roughly 30 features, 80 shorts, 10 workshops/panels and parties.

The in-person series ends with a cinematic overload called THE MARATHON, a 24 hour non-stop binge view of classic, not-so-classic and downright schlocky films. It comes with guests, games and surprises. Festival Passes and Marathon tickets are available at The STORE.

Individual shows will also be on sale.

Sayo said the movie features a husband who becomes obsessed with a virtual reality simulation where his deceased wife has been recreated as a digital avatar.

It is directed by Dominic Czarnota, a Polish-American.

Sayo was also a certified personal trainer at the National Strength and Conditioning Association based inColorado, Springs USA. He graduated magna cum laude at the University of the Philippines.
