HAGONOY, Bulacan—A 28 year old man and his dog were killed after they were electrocuted due to high tide flood inside their house in this town last week.

Hagonoy municipal disaster risk reduction management office (MDRRMO) officer-in-charge Rene Crisostomo told NEWSCORE that Gene Darel Aguilar of Purok 2, Barangay San Isidro took a nap in his room after returning from work.

Beside him was a powered on extension cord where his electric fan was plugged in but which already fell on the flooded floor while he was sleeping.

It was at around 5pm when he woke to go to the comfort room when he was electrocuted.

Their family’s dog was also electrocuted.

Crisostomo said because of the high tide, the flood had reached the room of the victim’s house.

High tide was at 4.30 ft. on that day, Crisostomo said.
