MARILAO, Bulacan–Dine in an al fresco. Bulacan bikers now have a more convenient and safe place to stop over to relax and eat as a mall opens a first of its kind in the province Bike and Dine grounds. 

SM City Marilao had just opened its Bike and Dine facility in compliance with the IATF-EID guidelines for a safe dining experience yet convenient and fun. 

Gladyz May Latiza, SM Marilao Press Relation Specialist said bikers are not required to buy food inside the mall but they are encouraged to patronize them to help keep the tenant’s business afloat during this challenging times.

She said in compliance with safety dining guidelines, the park and dine grounds can accommodate four bikers at a time to ensure health protocols are strictly observed. The area is located outside the mall adjacent to SM City Marilao’s temporary transport terminal.

The new outdoor dining concept of the mall is a first in the province of Bulacan that allows cyclists to enjoy their favorite meals while their bikes are conveniently parked near them. Bike and Dine is equipped with customized bike racks that serve as dining tables for a hassle-free dine in experience that cyclists can enjoy.

Bike-riding customers can mount their bikes securely in the racks which double as table and use their own bike’s saddle as their dining stool. Each of the bike racks likewise comes with a footrest to provide leg support for cyclists.

“More and more Filipino commuters have turned to biking as mode of transportation during pandemic” shares SM City Marilao Mall Manager Engr. Emmanuel Gatmaitan. “With our Bike and Dine, customer have one less thing to worry about when it comes to bike parking and outdoor dine-in safety” Engr. Gatmaitan added.

Apart from the new outdoor dining concept, SM City Marilao’s Bike and Dine is also equipped with a mobile repair station that included bike pump and tools necessary to perform basic bike repairs and maintenance, from changing flat tire to adjusting brakes and derailleurs.

“With SM City Marilao’s bike-friendly facilities, customers can dine on the go and look forward to a safe, convenient, and enjoyable biking experience” says SM City Marilao Assistant Mall Manager Janette Aguilera.

Bike riding customers who wish to visit are strictly advised to follow health protocols by wearing face masks, and face shields, and practicing social distancing.
