Bulacan cops held 17 crime suspects

CAMP GEN. ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan—Police operatives arrested 17 crime suspects in simultaneous anti-criminality operations on Tuesday.

Bulacan police director Col. Relly Arnedo said separate buy-bust operations conducted by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of the Angat, City of Meycauayan, Balagtas, San Ildefonso, and City of Baliwag police stations resulted to the arrest of 8 drug peddlers. Seized from them were 29 plastic sachets of suspected shabu worth P78,887, assorted drug paraphernalia and the buy-bust money.

The arrested suspects and confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the Bulacan Provincial Forensic Unit (PFU) for appropriate examination. While criminal complaints for violations of R.A. 9165 against the suspects are now being prepared for filing in court.

In San Miguel, Norzagaray, City of Malolos, and Marilao, tracker teams of the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) and elements of the respective police stations arrested 6 wanted persons who were identified as alias Joselito for complaints of theft; alias Raymond for attempted homicide; alias Elong for violation of Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002; alias Beni Boy for robbery, alias Benedict for 2 counts of violation of Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act and one alias Boyboy for complaints of statutory rape respectively. All accused are presently under the custody of the arresting unit/stations for proper disposition.

Also, elements of the City of Meycauayan and Sta. Maria police stations arrested during response operations one alias King Arthur, 30, resident of Brgy. Caingin, for complaints of theft and one alias Jhondel, 21 and his companion Jensel, 25, both residents of Sta. Maria for accusations of physical injury.

The Bulacan PNP is devoted to keeping a safe community free from criminal activities. The ability to stop individuals who incite fear and use violence in the community shows how steadfastly committed they are in battling lawlessness and violence under the “Pulis ng PRO 3, Partner ng Pamayanan” thrust, Arnedo said.
