CITY OF MALOLOS– “Bulacan, the financial powerhouse and first-world province of the Philippines by 2040, with a vibrant economy, safe environment, inclusive infrastructure, excellent governance, and strong middle class as the core of the citizenry where people have equal access to opportunities and services and living models of its historical heritage and cultural significance.”

This is the vision of Bulacan on the Provincial Development and Physical Framework Plan (PDPFP) for 2024 to 2036 that got the approval of the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) during the Ceremonial Signing of CLUPs and PDPFPs in Quezon City recently.

Governor Daniel R. Fernando said that the PDPFP ensures to balance the economic and social programs because he wanted the Bulakenyos to be beneficiaries of the opportunities that they are embracing.

“The Philippine Statistics Authority, in its latest release on economic performance of provinces, identified Bulacan as 4th province in the Philippines with highest contribution to national GDP. But we will continue to strive more to bring Bulacan to further greatness,” the governor said.

Meanwhile, DHSUD Secretary Jose Rizalino Acuzar congratulated and thanked the local government units for their effort to comply with policies.

“Ang tagumpay na ito ay hindi lamang pagsunod sa mga patakaran kundi inyong tunay na malasakit at responsibilidad sa inyong mga nasasakupan. Ngunit, hindi dito natatapos ang ating gawain. Ang tunay na hamon ay ang pagsasakatuparan ng mga planong ito,” the secretary said.

The PDPFP is the product of the joint efforts of the Provincial Government of Bulacan through the Provincial Planning and Development Office, local government units, stakeholders, and through the help and guidance of the Palafox Associates.
