CITY OF MALOLOS – Bulacan Vice Governor Alexis C. Castro was named Distinguished Icon in Public Service 2024 during the Asia’s Golden Icon Award held at the Grand Ballroom of Okada Manila last May 31, 2024.
Castro has demonstrated strong leadership among his constituents as he heads the legislative council and as chairman of the Committee on Social Services.
Known for his advocacy on youth development programs particularly in sports, Castro pioneered initiatives benefiting the Bulakenyo youth.
He was also recognized as the youngest and the first vice governor of Bulacan to establish action centers in Santa Maria, Marilao, and at the Provincial Government of Bulacan.
Governor Daniel R. Fernando congratulated and thanked Castro for his admirable public service.
“Congratulations, Vice Governor Alex Castro. Thank you for your unwavering public service. Mabuhay ka,” Fernando said.
