
CITY OF MALOLOS—The province of Bulacan remained under the leadership of close political ally, both re-electionist Gov. Daniel Fernando and Vice Gov. Alexis Castro.
National Unity Party (NUP) members Fernando and Castro were officially proclaimed as the duly elected governor and vice governor respectively on Tuesday by the Bulacan Provincial Board of Canvassers led by Chairman Mona Aldana Campos, Vice Chairman Ramoncito Bienvenido Ocampo Jr. and member Norma Esteban at The Hiyas Pavilion in this city.
Fernando who is on his last term garnered 1,177,483 votes while Castro who is on his second term earned 1,360,020 votes from all the 20 towns and 4 cities in the province.
