DOÑA REMEDIOS TRINIDAD (DRT), Bulacan–Five residents who were cutting cogon in a remote hilly place in this town were massacred on Monday.
Bulacan Police Director Col. Charlie Cabradilla said the five still unidentified victims were shot dead by unknown suspects.
DRT Chief of Police Capt. Eugenio De Ramos said the incident happened at about 10:30 a.m. in a cogon area in Barangay Camachile.
De Ramos said the five male victims were allegedly hired to trim down and clean a grassy area.
At about 11:15 a.m., one of their fellow grass trimmer who just went back to the place to bring their lunch was shock when he discovered the bodies.
De Ramos said a witness whose house is distant away from the site heard gun shots at about 10:30 a.m.
De Ramos said the area being trimmed is a disputed land.
Police continue to investigate the incident.
