Former OFW shot dead in San Ildefonso

SAN ILDEFONSO, Bulacan–A businessman former Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) was shot dead while driving his motorcycle along Maharlika highway in this town om Sunday. 

San Ildefonso police chief Russell Dennis Reburiano identified the victim as Alvino Dela Cruz, 58,  from Barangay Umpucan this town. 

The victim  who formerly worked in Saudi Arabia, Taiwan and in Quatar now owns and manage a piggery farm in his place in Umpucan. 

He was driving his motorcycle along Barangay Maasim bound to the town proper at around 4:00 p.m. when unidentified riding in tandem suspects started chasing him and fired five successive shots on him hitting him in different parts of his body that led to his instantaneous death.

Reburiano told Inquirer the driver of the motorcycle was wearing a helmet while the triggerman wears a bull cap. 

The police are now gathering CCTV footages to identify the suspects. They also have yet to determine the suspect in the killing. 

They are also determining if the victim was killed due to personal or a business-related motive.
