
CITY OF MEYCAUAYAN—The North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) Lingunan Southbound Exit has been closed since Friday, Jan. 10 because of the ongoing construction works of the new NLEX Lingunan Southbound Entry Ramp, company officials said in a press statement and social media post.
In an advisory, the company said the temporary closure will last for almost a month, until Feb. 8.
Motorists from Bulacan, nearby Valenzuela City and other areas from Northern and Central Luzon bound to Metro Manila are advised to take alternate routes.
Motorists from NLEX going to Barangay Lawang Bato, Barangay East Canumay and Barangay Punturin, Valenzuela City should take as alternate routes—Paso de Blas Southbound Exit, Turn left at Paso de Blas Road, Turn left at East Service Road (Barangay East Canumay), Turn right at Sapang Bakaw St. (Barangay Lawang Bato and Barangay Punturin).
Those coming from NLEX going to Barangay Lingunan Barangay West Canumay, Barangay Malanday and Barangay Dalandanan should take NLEX Paso de Blas Southbound Exit, Turn right at Paso de Blas Road and Turn right at T. Santiago to destination.
Lane closures in Marilao northbound area will be enforced to give way for the safety repair works in the 100-meter portion of Marilao bridge northbound (before Marilao Interchange). The closure will be within selected hours or periods for ten days, starting today Jan. 13 until Jan. 22.
Lane 3 (Middle Lane) will be closed from 10:00pm Jan. 13- 10:00 am Jan. 15; Lane 2 ( Middle Lane) from 11:00 am Jan. 15 – 11:59 pm Jan. 16 and Lane 1 (Leftmost Lane) will be from 10:00 pm Jan. 20 – 10:00 am Jan. 22.
A zipper lane will be implemented if necessary to ensure a still smooth flow of traffic and traffic patrol crews/marshals will be deployed to man the traffic. Directional signs will also be put up in strategic areas.
NLEX has 320,000, NLEX Connector has 17,000, Subic Clark TARLAC Expressway (SCTEX) 80,000 respective average daily motorists.
