P2-M bounty up for suspects in the killing of congressional bet’s IT consultant

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga—The family and friends of killed Information Technology (IT) consultant and a social media operator of a congressional district candidate in Bulacan had raised P2- million worth of bounty to help the police hasten up the identification  and arrest of the suspects in the  gruesome murder. 

PBGen Jean Fajardo, Police Regional Office 3 Director said on Monday here that they will be releasing a P2-million  worth of reward money for those who can provide the identities and whereabouts of the gunmen and the mastermind in the killing. 

She told media members in a press conference that they are now pursuing good leads in their investigation and that the lead they have will make them track down the suspects including the brains behind the incident. 

“We are hoping that with our leads today and the P2-million reward money, anyone who has information on the identity of the suspects will come forward for them to arrest them at the soonest possible time,” she said. 

According to the regional director, they are now documenting the pieces of evidence they got to make the case airtight against the suspects.    

Bryan Villflor, 27, IT consultant of Victor Silverio who is running for third congressional district post of Bulacan and son of Third District Rep. Lorna Silverio with his girlfriend Jamaeca Loise Esguerra, and his bodyguard Jayvee Mariano were gunned down at around 3:15 pm along Maharlika Highway in Barangay Capihan San Rafael town. 

Villaflor was driving his colored black Ford Everest along the southbound lane of the highway bound to a supermarket in Baliwag City when unidentified heavily armed men on board another colored black SUV who were tailing them suddenly opened fire on them.

Villaflor and Mariano died instantly due to multiple gunshot wounds in different parts of their bodies while Esguerra was declared dead on arrival at a nearest hospital where she was brought for treatment. 

Both Villaflor and Esguerra are residents of Poblacion, San Ildefonso town. Mariano is a Philippine Army soldier who was previously assigned at 7th Infantry Division in Nueva Ecija.   

Seven others victims were passengers of three other vehicles passing along the highway who suffered bruises from stray bullets.
