CITY OF MALOLOS–Around 200 residents, both children and adults received free medical check-ups and medicines and other freebies during the opening on Friday, Aug. 2, of Reseta Pharmacy, a one of its kind and first in the Philippines drug and convenient store with a beauty regimen laboratory owned and managed by beauty queens.
Dr. KC Halili, Ms. Manila 2015, Justine Felizarta, Century Tuna Superbods 2024 Grand Winner and also the Miss World Philippines 2022 1st Princess and Ms. Earth 2015 Angelia Ong, owners of Reseta Pharmacy opted not to make a grand launch of their very first branch in the country through a lavish motorcade, but rather with only a very simple one to be able to reach out to the local folks through support for their health needs.
According to Halili, as an aftermath of typhoon Carina and the southwest monsoon which flooded many villages in Malolos and many areas in Bulacan, providing a medical mission to the residents is parallel with the charity works that goes together with their crowns.
Reseta Pharmacy also plans to continue its regular health support to local folks through a once a month medical mission.
Residents from Barangay Sto. Nino, San Juan and San Agustin benefited from hypertension, diabetes, Cardio pediatric check-ups and free maintenance medicines including antibiotics, vitamins, supplements for pregnant women and children.
Residents were also treated with “Reseta Buckets,” a pail of goodies with free ice cream, french fries, Century tuna and were also given the chance to spin the “Reseta Roleta’ where they have won prizes and other freebies.
The three beauty queens took pride in social health service and fulfillment in conducting medical mission and helping save lives during the pandemic when they braved the threats of COVID-19 and infused Remdesivir and Tocilizumab to COVID-19 patients in Cavite and Tagaytay in 2021.
Halili said, through a pharmaceutical company she previously had worked with, she, Ong and Felizarta were also pioneers in releasing to the market the first antigen kits.
According to Ong and Felizarta, Reseta Pharmacy which aims is to provide ease and a relax ambiance in acquiring the medicine’s in one’s prescription, the decade of friendship all three of them of Halili shared being Ambassadors of Goodwill because of their titles and crowns, is a testament of the kind of charity works they bring to people.
Reseta Pharmacy is a game-changer in the drugstore industry in the Philippines, as it deviates people particularly those under medication of the gloomy and dull environment a very typical pharmacy brings.
