GUIGUINTO, Bulacan–Re-electionist Senator Joel “TESDAMAN” Villanueva has yet to receive an official word of support from the camp of presidential candidate, former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos but said President Duterte’s official endorsement including other presidentiables are more than enough and already overwhelming.

Villanueva who graced the inauguration of his funded P30-Million worth 30-bed capacity dormitory and gymnasium in Bulacan Technical Education Skills and Development Authority (TESDA) training center in this town said he got the full backing of the first family as Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte and Davao City First District Congressman Paolo “Pulong” Duterte also personally gave words of support to his re-election.

“Nakaka-taba ng puso, nakaka-humble, nakaka-bless, nakaka-inspire na indendorso tayo ng Pangulo. Dagdag sa endorsement ito pero ito na tinatamasa natin pero siyempre ito ang pinakamalaki sa lahat dahil siyempre pangulo natin ang nag-endorso,” he told reporters.

He quoted the President saying that he was chosen because he is God-fearing, honest and because of his track record. “I had a chance to talk to him last Monday night at sinabi niya na kailangang kailangan talaga sa Senado ang isang TESDAMAN na maglilikha ng maraming trabaho”

He told NEWS CORE there has yet any word of support from the camp of Marcos that reached him. But he said the Duterte endorsements are more than enough.

“I have no access to the camp of presidential candidate Bongbong Marcos but we respect his decision, it’s their call. Pero sa mga lugar na siya ang sinusuportahan ay sinusuportahan din tayo. Apparently, siya lang naman ang hindi nag-eendorso sa atin among the presidentiables, so I think that is more than enough,” he said.

Villanueva was with Vice President Leni Robredo and Bulacan Gov. Daniel Fernndo in Bulacan Grand Rally last March 5.

Last month, Mayor Duterte officially endorsed him during the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas party Proclamation of BBM-Sara at Philippine Arena in Bocaue.

Villanueva said because of initiated efforts and responses by government agencies concerned, the 6.6 % unemployment rate is now down by 2 % with the current rate of 6.4%.

He said because of easer Alert Level 1 restriction, 500,000 more new jobs were added to the 2 million jobs already created last year.

The dormitory and the gymnasium in Bulacan TESDA training center will give comfort, peace of mind and keep the in house trainees attune with their physical fitness and health, the senator added.

Engr. Jovencio Ferrer, TESDA Bulacan director said the facilities can cater not only to Bulacan TESDA trainees but the whole of Central Luzon at no cost at all.

The dormitory cuts down the travel expenses of the trainees.

Ferrer said the training facilities, the dormitory and the gymnasium are part of TESDA Bulacan’s income generating programs.
