SM City Marilao volunteers join kids for a free play at Kidzoona in line with ‘ChriSMiles’, a yearly volunteer activity of SM Supermalls that aims to make more children smile, especially this holiday season.

Dubbed “ChriSMiles,” the employee-volunteer program of SM, through the initiative of the HR Department, aims to celebrate the season of giving by encouraging staff members to share their blessings with children in need.

Grocery packs and SM gift passes as raffle prizes were given to children during the recent ‘ChriSMiles’ activity at SM City Baliwag.

SM City Marilao, SM City Baliwag, and SM Center Pulilan extended the holiday cheer by treating kids to a free play courtesy of each malls’ amusement tenants. Thirty kids had a spree at Kidzoona in SM City Marilao, while SM City Baliwag volunteers played games with 30 kids in Tom’s World. Moreover, at least 28 kids had pure joy exploring Ambika’s play area in SM Center Pulilan.

Aside from free play, SM malls in Bulacan brought extra smiles through gift giving by distributing loot bags, grocery packs, and ‘SM Bears of Joy’ to the children. Employees also had their share of priceless moments with kids as they treated them and their families to a hearty meal as well as fun games and surprises.

SM City Marilao employees spent a meaningful time with kids through gift-giving. One of the treats given were grocery packs they can share with their family this Christmas.

“This year’s ‘ChriSMiles’ is extra special as we take time to pay tribute to our janitorial and agency personnel. We dedicate this meaningful activity to their families, especially their kids, as a way of expressing our gratitude for the unparalleled service they give to all our shoppers, fulfilling their everyday duty to ensure that the mall is a safe, clean, comfortable, and happy place for everyone,” said Senior Human Resources Manager Prescila Salamat.

SM City Baliwag volunteers spent a heartwarming day with the children of their janitorial and security personnel, treating them to fun activities, meals, and free play. The initiative is in line with ‘ChriSMiles’, a nationwide employee volunteerism program that brings joy to the chosen beneficiaries of each mall.

‘ChriSMiles’ is a yearly volunteer activity of SM Supermalls that aims to make more children smile, especially this holiday season. The event is a nationwide employee volunteerism program that brings joy to the chosen beneficiaries of each mall. The initiative started in 2012 and also encourages all SM employees to be more appreciative of their individual blessings by sharing and caring.

SM Center Pulilan volunteers shared their time off from work to play with the kid beneficiaries of this year’s ‘ChriSMiles’ program.

Also, part of the activity was the distribution of SM ‘Bears of Joy’, a program of SM Cares that encourages the idea of gift giving by purchasing a pair of bears from Toy Kingdom. One bear is for keeping, and the other one will be donated to the chosen beneficiaries of each mall.
