A senior citizen receives her first dose of Astra Zeneca on Friday, May 14 at SM City San Jose del Monte City as she wanted to protect herself and her family from the virus.

SAN JOSE DEL MONTE CITY, May 14 – The city continue to roll out Friday its Covid19 vaccination for health workers, senior citizens, and persons with comorbidities in SM City San Jose del Monte.

SM City San Jose del Monte utilized its spacious hallway on its second level to serve as one of the city’s vaccination site. To make the procedure seamless, the mall management identified areas for each steps of the vaccination process, dispatched additional safety officers and sanitation team to ensure that health and safety protocols are being observed.

The city health office is targeting 400 individuals from A1 to A3 priority group to get vaccinated per day with the initial dose of Astra Zeneca, but according to Ms. Sionilyn Abargos, one of the nurse administering the vaccine, most of the frontline health workers in the city are done with their shots and most of the recipients now are senior citizens and persons with comorbidities.

At the post vaccination area, recipients’ vital signs are being checked again and are monitored for 30 minutes for any kind of effects.

Each recipient undergone screening and consultation before the vaccine administration, and then being observed for 30 minutes. Emergency response team from both the LGU and SM are also on standby during the inoculation process.

The next vaccination in SM City San Jose del Monte will be on May 17 and 18, 8:00AM to 5:00PM.

SM management is closely coordinating with the city health office of San Jose del Monte as it rolls out the vaccination program to help speed up administration of COVID-19 vaccines and curb the spread of the virus in the city.
