CITY OF MALOLOS—The Social Security System (SSS) recently conducted its latest Run After Contributions Evaders (R.A.C.E.) campaign in Luzon to ensure that employers fulfill their obligations under Republic Act 11199, “An Act Rationalizing and Expanding the Powers and Duties of the Social Security Commission to Ensure the Long-Term Viability of the Social Security System.”
The SSS invited media partners, including Newscore Bulacan Newspaper and Online, to participate in the operation.
A team comprised of SSS officials—Malolos Assistant Branch Head Ellen M. Arellano, Acting Head Chelin Lea D. Nabong, Vice President of SSS Luzon 2 Division Gloria Corazon M. Andrada, and Attorney III from the Operations Legal Extension Office, Atty. Faith Henriet L. Arao—along with media representatives, visited sixteen employers in the city across various sectors.
These employers included one manufacturing company, two grocery stores, six restaurants, five service businesses, one school, and one manpower agency.
Based on initial interviews, the campaign is estimated to affect at least 204 employees, with the potential for a higher number. The SSS anticipates recovering approximately ₱10.8 million in unpaid contributions from the sixteen employers visited during the R.A.C.E. operation.
