CITY OF SAN JOSE DEL MONTE, Bulacan—A college student and his companion were killed in an early afternoon coffee shop gun attack in this city on Monday.
Bulacan Provincial Police Information Office chief Maj. Jaynalyn Udal identified the victims as one alias Rex, a college student from Barangay Muzon East and one alias Jer, a resident of Purok 1, Barangay San Isidro, both in this city.
They were having coffee inside Big Brew Coffee Shop in Barangay Paradise 3 at around 1pm when an armed man identified as one alias Randy suddenly fired on them.
Rex died on the spot due to multiple gunshot wounds in different parts of his body while Jer was pronounced dead on arrival at Skyline Hospital in the city.
Udal said Rex was the son of a former public and security officer and marshal of the City of San Jose del Monte.
San Jose del Monte police are still investigating the motive in the killing.
