NORZAGARAY, Bulacan–The lifeless body of a 67 year old woman placed inside a storage box was found dumped in a remote place in this town on Saturday, a belated report obtained from the police here said.

Police Col. Lynelle Solomon, chief of police of Norzagaray identified the victim as Ma. Elena Villastique from Barangay Villa Lamok, Pasig City.

Villastique’s body was placed inside a tape-sealed colored white storage box when residents in Sitio Kanyakan Barangay Matictic found it at around 6:40 pm on Saturday after they traced a foul stench coming from the place.

Solomon said the suspect was her 28 year old son identified as Raymund Villastique.

The victim was believed to have been hit with a hard object on her head. She has been reported missing since March 4 after she failed to open her carinderia stall in their place. On March 6, the suspect was seen on CCTV footage in their area dragging the colored white storage box outside their house.

Police report said the victim could have earned the ire of the suspect over financial matters in the family and in the carinderia business.

Norzagaray police sent a flash alarm to nearby stations to look out for missing persons reported in their area of responsibility which could lead to the identification of the victim.

The victim, Solomon said, was wearing a pink polka-dot short and sleeveless shirt (sando).

Authorities recovered one unserviceable Laptop with a police sticker and one white storage box.

Norzagaray police said they turned over the case to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) for proper disposition.
