PGB holds Binyagang Bayan in CSJDM, Bulacan

CITY OF MALOLOS – The Provincial Government of Bulacan through the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office conducted ‘Binyagang Bayan’ at the St. Joseph the Worker Parish Church, Poblacion 1 and Christ the King Parish Church, San Rafael 3, City of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan today.

Out of 465 Bulakenyo children who were registered for the Baptismal rite, only 190 were baptized in the morning while 255 children are expected to receive the sacrament in the afternoon.

Bulacan Gov. Daniel R. Fernando and Vice Gov. Alexis C. Castro stood as godparents of the children along with Board Member Allen Dale Baluyut, former Board Member Allan Ray Baluyut, and PSWDO Head Rowena Joson Tiongson.

In his message, Fernando highlighted the importance of Baptism and how the baptized children will be under the protection and guidance of the Lord.

“Magpasalamat tayo sa Diyos sapagkat nabinyagan na sila. Saan man sila mapunta ay may basbas na sila ng ating Panginoon para hindi sila maligaw ng landas at maging matibay sila sa pagharap sa pagsubok dahil batid at tinanggap na nila ang banal na turo ng ating Panginoon,” the governor said.

CSJDM Atty. Earl Tan and Division City Parents Teachers Association Federation CSJDM President Ronnel B. Templonuevo were also present in the event.

Binyagang Bayan is an activity of the PSWDO under Population Program.
