Bulacan Governor Daniel R. Fernando and Vice Gov. Alexis C. Castro visited the wake and paid their last respects to Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) Secretary Maria Susana ““Toots”” Ople at Kalayaan Hall in Malacañang Palace, Manila on Monday. With them was the elder sister of the Secretary, Hagonoy Councilor Atty. Dalisay Ople-San Jose.
NEWSCORE is a weekly newspaper published and circulated in the province of Bulacan. It was founded in October 2006 by Carmela Reyes-Estrope, Philippine Daily Inquirer correspondent in Bulacan and had its maiden issue on October 10-16 that year. It is now running on its 11th year. The paper uses a bilingual medium. It carries all sorts of news stories mostly political, crime, environmental, social and economic issues including occasional sports event happening in the province's 21 towns and three cities.
