PDEA seizes P3.4M worth shabu in Caloocan sting

CALOOCAN CITY – A male drug peddler was nabbed after selling half kilo of crystal meth (shabu) amounting to P3,400,000.00 following a buy-bust operation in Caloocan City on Saturday.

PDEA Aurora Provincial Officer identified the apprehended suspect as William Isanan, 42 years old, resident of Barangay Libos Baesa, Caloocan City. He was arrested in a buy-bust operation at around 2:00 p.m., in Barangay 162, Sta. Queteria.

Recovered from the suspect’s possession were 3 pieces knot-tied transparent plastic sachets containing more or less 500 grams of shabu amounting to P3,400,000 and the marked money used by the undercover agent.

Operating units said that Isanan was involved in the bulk distribution of shabu in Caloocan City and nearby towns of Bulacan.

“Based on our initial investigation, the arrested suspect was previously charged for violation of the anti-drug law”, the PDEA team leader added.

The operation was conducted by joint operatives of PDEA Aurora Provincial Office, PDEA-3 RSET, and PDEA North District Office.

A charge for violation of section 5 (sale of dangerous drugs),  Article II of Republic Act 9165 will be filed against the arrested suspects.
