CITY OF MALOLOS—An estimated 120,000 Bulacan residents including from Metro Manila and Pampanga and other nearby areas gathered on Wednesday for presidential candidate Vice President Leni Robredo’s pre-May 9 election grand Bulacan Rally “Republika 2.0” held at the Bulacan Sports Complex in this capital city.

Robero boasted before the said crowd of supporters the livelihood, medical support and assistance she had showered Bulakenos before, during and after COVID-19 pandemic.

Gov. Daniel Fernando who earlier openly endorses Robredo for the presidency launched “Republika 2.0” held at 150,000-capacity Bulacan Sports Complex.

Bulacan provincial government sports office head Benjie Santos told NEWS CORE that the Sports Complex Oval and grandstand has a full capacity of P150,000. He estimated the number of Leni-Kiko supporters who attended the event to reach around 100,000. One of the hosts of the event announced that they have reached 120,000 in attendance.

“Where are they before the election? But, we are here in Bulacan, election or not election Pandemic or not pandemic, we lay and render our services to the people of Bulacan,” (Nasan ba sila noong walang election. Tayo po, may election man o wala, may pandemic man o wala, andito po tayo sa Bulacan at naglatag po tayo ng maraming serbisyo at kalinga sa mga Bulakenyo),” she said.

The vice president who said that services and benefit to the people through economic progress will only be achieved with honest and incorruptible governance and leadership said her “Angat Buhay” program has already addressed the malnutrition and livelihood like farming of many residents in Doña Remedios Trinidad (DRT) including in the Cities of San Jose del Monte, Meycauayan and Malolos and Bocaue, Marilao, Pandi, Plaridel, Hagonoy, Pulilan and San Ildefonso.

Robredo also said that her office had provided hospital and other support for express swab kits, medicine, etc.

“We will continue with all these programs and will bring more. We offer clean government for everyone to have a fair chance to improve their lives. There will be medical assistance for everyone, college education, decent jobs, and highly credible, competent and with high integrity leaders,” Robredo assured Bulakenyos.

“Ano ang kasiguradun na gagagwin ang pangakong ito, ang resibo? Ang resibo ay ang mga nagawa na natin at nasimulan at mga pangakong itutuloy at paghuhusayan pa lalo natin. Matagal na tayo sa government at wala tayo record ni isa mang anomalya at corruption, she added.

Robredo said it is only 12 days before election and everyone should continue their efforts for them to win. She acknowledges the people’s efforts of providing free meals like lugaw during rallies and other activities. She also thanked Bulakenyos for the house-to-house efforts to invite more to support her.

While the vice president cited her programs and projects, her senatorial candidates led by Chel Diokno, former Senator Antonio Trillanes, etc. all attacked Leni’s closest rival and leading presidential candidate former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.

“It is Leni because of she symbolizes the new generation of leaders who can really deliver utmost kind of good service and leadership to the Filipino people and also because of her integrity, honesty, being the voice of the poor and the voiceless and with clean and no corruption record.

“Republika 2.0” Bulacan grand rally for VP Leni resembles the freedom and democracy fought for and won in Malolos by our forefathers, Fernando said.

“Handa na tayong salubungin ang liwanag ng bagong Republika sa ilalim ni President Leni. Ang liwanag ng pag-asa,” the governor added.

Fernando personally sponsored the preparations for the Republika 2.0 including 170 drones that flew the skies and exhibited the name of VP Leni including a rose flower drone.
