LUNGSOD NG MALOLOS–Patuloy na bumababa ang mga kaso ng COVID-19 active cases sa Bulacan kaya naman maaari na umanong magsagawa ng mga Christmas parties ang mga grupo at opisina, pahayag ni Gob. Daniel Fernando.
Ayon sa gobernador na chairman ng Bulacan COVID-19 Task Force, sa ilalim ng maluwag na Alert Level 2 quarantine restriction ng lalawigan ngayon, maaari ng magsagawa ng Christmas party ngayong Kapaskuhan na may 70% capacity kung outdoor o al fresco at 50% kapag nasa loob ng isang room na air-conditioned.
Ganunpaman ay kailangan pa ring magsuot ng face mask, mag social distancing at maghugas ng kamay at mag-alcohol. Sa pinakahuling tala ng Bulacan Public Health Office, 549 na lamang ang active cases sa Bulacan at ito ay halos kadikit na ng 500 active na mga kaso Disyembre noong isang taon. Ito na ang pinakamababang tala ng active cases sa lalawigan ngayong 2021.
Nitong Oktubre ay bumaba sa 1,000-2,000 ang active cases matapos mag-record ng all time high na 4,700 active cases bandang katapusan nitong Agosto.
Ayon sa gobernador na namahagi ng Christmas groceries sa mga miyembro ng Sangguniang Kabataan sa lalawigan kahapon, kailangan umanong lalong pag-ibayuhin ng mga Bulakenyo ang pag-iingat at ang pagbabakuna upang patuloy na bumaba ang active cases.
Aniya, inaasahang bumaba sa mas maluwag na Alert Level 1 ang quarantine status ng Bulacan sa pagpasok ng taon kung patuloy na bubulusok pababa ang record ng active cases.
Ayon naman kay Bulacan COVID-19 Task Force Vice Chair Dr. Hjordis Marushka Celis, nasa halos 1.2 million ng 1.8 million herd immunity target na mga Bulakenyo ang nababakunahan. Target provincial government na maabot na ang full total 70% herd immunity population o 1.8 million mga Bulakenyo ang nababakunahan ngayong katapusan ng taon upang masiguradong may proteksiyon ang lahat kontra sa mapaminsalang sakit.
Umabot sa 88,865 ang natalang mga kaso ng COVID-19 sa lalawigan simula Marso 2020 habang 86,869 ang recoveries at 1,447 ang confirmed deaths.

Ayon kay PNP Reg. 3 Director PGen Matthew Baccay, si Abubakar Sandigan, alias “Kapatid,” mula sa TIP St., Barangay 311, Quiapo, Maynila ay nahuli na dala-daa ang mahigit 2 kilo ng shabu na nasa loob ng Chinese Tea bags bandang 1:35 a.m. kanina sa Barangay Tikay.
Ka-transaksiyon ang tauhan ng Station Drug Enforcement Unit ng Malolos police sa may harapan ng Tikay elementary school, nakatakas naman ang kasama ni Sandigan na si alias “Ali” sakay ng motorsiklo.
Ayon kay Col. Christopher Leano, acting chief of police ng Malolos, si alias Ali ang ka-transaksiyon ng kanyang mga tauhan subalit mabilis itong nakatakas at si alias “Kapatid” ang naaktuhang may dala-dala palang malaking volume ng droga. Ayon kay Bulacan Police Director Col. Manuel Lukban Jr., kung hindi nasabat ang droga ay nakakalamang na naikalat na ito sa mga lansangan sa Bulacan.
Pinuri ni Baccay ang Bulacan police partikular ang Malolos drug enforcement unit at ang patuloy na maigting umano na operations laban sa droga ay bahagi ng Double Barrel Reload Finale ng buong PNP.
Ayon kay Baccay, direkta ng iniimport ng mga nasa likod ng illegal drugs ang kanilang produkto dahil halos ay nasimot ng mabuwag ng pulisya ang mga drug laboratories sa maraming lugar sa bansa. Patunay umano nito ay ang pang ilang beses na nilang pagkakarecover ng shabu sa loob ng Chinese Tea bags.
Nagpasalamat naman si Mayor Gilbert Gatchalian sa tagumpay na operasyon ng Malolos police kontra illegal na droga. Ibinalita rin ng alkalde na idineklara ng drug-free ang Barangay Cofradia dahil sa mahusay na anti illegal drug operations ng pulisya sa siyudad.

Ganunpaman ay hindi kuntento dito si Mr. Ramon S. Ang, president and Corporate Operations Officer (COO) ng SMC sapagkat palalawigin pa niya ito upang mas marami pang lalawigan ang maabot habang tutulungan rin nito ang maliliit na negosyo sa Bulacan.

“While the community reselling program is successful, we’ve also diversified the kinds of businesses that can be included in the program. Future beneficiaries can avail of additional cash capital for small businesses like eateries, rice stores, fish processing, as well as online businesses. Apart from capital, we also provided them entrepreneurship training. We also have mechanisms in place to monitor their progress and make sure they have the best chances to succeed,”wika ni Ang.
If there is really one thing the world would just like to end abruptly other than hatred and poverty, it is the COVID-19 pandemic and the misery, anxiety, leashes it brings to each and every individual, rich, poor, old, young, those in the blue and white collar jobs, to everyone, even death to many families.
As this disease makes our daily lives miserable, thus the restrictions it grips us, the quarantine, the minimum health protocols, the wearing of face mask, face shield.
And so the time has come, after almost two years of being imprisoned with these restrictions and while we have yet to really drop off our face masks for good, today we start resting our face shields and we hope and pray we will not put them on ever again.
Each of us had our share of stories in having to abide to wear face shields even to our dislike and discomfort. Yes, it is against our will because of the hassle of putting them on every time we will go out in public. Remember that wearing face shield other than face masks has been ruled as among the minimum health protocols.
Not a single establishment where we would get our food supply, medicines, the malls, supermarkets, dine in and even park, order and go restaurants, the line for the government ayuda, the SAP, the LAG, the community pantry, the line for for GCash, Palawan, everywhere, face shield had been a must.
Who had not encountered to have left the face shield in his vehicle and need to rush back to wear them on because he cannot enter any establishment without it on his face. I recall several incidents when security guards will tell me that he can lend me his own face shield if I want but which made feel irritated because I know he is making a mockery of me and making me looks like a fool. “Gusto ninyo po Ma’am ipapahiram ko po sa inyo itong face shield ko”.
That was a joke and and an insult. Why would anyone allow himself to wear someone else’s face shield when it is body contact, our sweats and each one’s excretions that we avoid because it is how the COVID-19 virus transmits or infect others, our fellows.
We are left with no choice. Under the glaring rays of the sun or the cold night, we braced to walk towards our vehicle to wear our face shields. There are times we lost them and have to buy at the nearest store.
The P3.00-P5.00 most common and ordinary face shield bought in Divisoria is sold from P8.00-P10.00-P15.00-P20.00-P30.00 depending on the place or particular site or location you are. There are those which comes even in multiple color hard plastic available both online and along the sidewalks at P90.00-P150.00 each.
Half face shields are not allowed in all stalls and one must to wear the full face ones.
And so now, we feel we wanted to celebrate the foreseen dawn of our new normal, going back to the way we were before the pandemic, only with still our masks on. We take our face shields off. Throw them in our waste basket, burn them or clean them with water and soap and keep them for “possible future use”.
But, I am just wondering. Do we still need to keep them with us, would you still keep yours?

LUNGSOD NG MEYCAUAYAN–Bilang pagpapatunay sa pangako nitong patuloy na itaas ang antas ng serbisyo sa mga motorista at iba pang stakeholders, ang NLEX Corporation ay muling nabigyan ng certification para sa isa pang tatlong taon sa pagsunod sa pinagsama-samang mga pamantayan ng sistema ng pamamahala sa kalidad, kapaligiran, at kalusugan at kaligtasan sa trabaho ng mga empleyado nito.
Nakuha ng NLEX ang pinakabagong mga bersyon ng ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management System), ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management System), at ISO 45001: 2018 (Occupational Health and Safety Management System) na inisyu ng DQS Holdings GmbH, isa sa nangungunang sertipikasyon mga katawan para sa mga sistema ng pamamahala sa buong mundo.
Ang sertipikasyon ng ISO ay isang pang-internasyonal na pamantayan na kumikilala sa mga kumpanyang gumagamit ng pinakamainam na mga pamamaraan upang tuloy-tuloy na magbigay ng mga serbisyo ng nakakatulong sa mga kinakailangan ng kostumer at regulasyon; pamahalaan ang mga responsibilidad sa kapaligiran; at protektahan ang kalusugan at kaligtasan ng mga manggagawa.

Ang NLEX Corporation ay nagpasimula at nagpatupad ng iba’t ibang mga programa upang itaguyod ang kaligtasan sa kalsada tulad ng patuloy na pagpapanatili at pag-upgrade ng mga asset at pasilidad ng NLEX-SCTEX; pagpapatupad ng mga batas trapiko; pagsasagawa ng mga lectures at pamamahagi ng mga materyales sa ligtas na kasanayan sa pagmamaneho at series of roadshows na humihikayat sa mga motorista na gawin ang kanilang bahagi sa pagpapanatiling ligtas sa mga kalsada.
